Welcome to Detective Toast: Party Game ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use our iOS application and the accompanying web controller application.

2. Information We Collect

We build our game to collect as little personal data as possible. We do not require account creation, emails, or passwords.

• Game Session Data: When joining a game via the web client, players input a display name. This name is temporary, only used to identify players during the active game session, and is overwritten/cleared when a new round is generated.
• Device and Usage Data: The iOS host application uses OneSignal to provide local push notifications (such as Daily Cold Case reminders). This requires the collection of anonymous device identifiers and push tokens.
• Log Data: Our backend infrastructure (Supabase) may automatically collect standard server log information, such as IP addresses and browser types, strictly for maintaining the security and stability of the game connection.

3. Third-Party Services

We utilize trusted third-party services to operate the game. These services only process data necessary to provide their specific functionality:

• Supabase: Used for real-time database syncing between the iOS host and web clients.
• Anthropic API: Used to dynamically generate game prompts and words. Text generated during gameplay is sent to Anthropic to facilitate the game. Data sent to the Anthropic API is not used to train their artificial intelligence models.
• OneSignal: Used to deliver push notifications to the iOS application.

4. Children's Privacy

Detective Toast is designed to be played by families in a local setting. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. The display names used in the web client are temporary session identifiers and are not tied to persistent profiles. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy.
